Western Blot (WB)
Not recommended. A305-778A-T has not performed satisfactorily when used for WB of LPCAT4 in crude preparations (e.g. whole cell lysate). This antibody can be used for WB of enriched (e.g. immunoprecipitated) sources of LPCAT4.
Immunoprecipitation (IP)
8 - 15 µl/mg lysate
Target Sentence
Members of the 1-acylglycerol-3-phosphate O-acyltransferase (EC 2.3.1.51) family, such as LPCAT4, catalyze the conversion of lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) to phosphatidic acid (PA), a precursor in the biosynthesis of all glycerolipids. Both LPA and PA are involved in signal transduction (Ye et al., 2005 [PubMed 16243729]) [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 254531)].
